The competition in insurance industry in many provincial areas has become a challenge. This challenge might be even higher than what is happening in Bangkok.
As the overall economy is now growing, the company has seen a great opportunity to expand the service network in order to serve customer’s demand. Moreover SJNKIT aims to support the coming AEC (ASEAN Economic Community: AEC) in 2015.

In 2014 Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance (Thailand) Plc. has opened new branches in the major cities which are Chiang Mai, Nakorn Sawan and Surat Thani. Mr. Shigeo Saito, the President of SJNKIT said that the strategy to expand the service network was based on the recent economic situation and the following factors.

1. Business results from the existing branches in the past years showed a rapid growth despite experiencing flooding.
2. To support Retail business - Agency channel in all major provinces.
3. To support Retail business - Bancassurance channel since most of the banks have established a large service network nationwide. SJNKIT needs to increase number of branches.
4. To support Logistics of AEC.
